Another interesting convention in October of this year is the 2013 Blythe Convention

Who is Blythe? Blythe is 11 inches tall with an oversized head and large eyes that change colors when you pull the string.  It was created in 1972 and was initially only sold for one year in the USA by toy company Kenner (later purchased by Hasbro). You can read more on Blythe here..

The 2013 Blythe Convention appears to be one day which is October 13th in New York City.

Here is another Convention that is fairly new.  I believe this year marks the 2nd year in a row for the Kenvention.  This year the 2013 Kenvention is in October 10, 11, & 12th, 2013, Milwaukee, WI.  This convention is dedicated to Ken Lovers all over the world!  I hear Angie Gill is the artist who repaints the Ken Dolls.  Hopefully one year I will be able to make it up to this convention, my schedule doesn't allow it at the time.  Be sure to check out the 2013 Kenvention website.  Even if you can't go, it's great to attend the doll show!

There are alot of doll conventions out there including this great one coming up! The 2013 Jem Convention! October 4th - 6th in Portland, Maine is a convention dedicated to the famous Jem Doll!

I've never been to this convention but it looks quite fun and similiar to the Barbie convention.  If you have been to this convention be sure to post a comment and tell us how it is!

I just came across this website about a month ago.  It's called One Sixth Directory.  It's actually cool and gives a directory of 1/6th items related.  The website ranges from online stores, ebay sellers, manufacturers, clubs and forums and private websites.  Alot has to do with Gi Joe and military, but alot of the items are out of this world! The detail is amazing!

Also great if you have a 1/6th scale based website you can email them to get your name on the list.

 Hey Dolls!

What a crazy two weeks it has been.  I've been on vacation from my "main job" which gives me a chance to catch things up at Chef Gina's.  Even though I work at Chef Gina's pretty much full time on my days off.  Anyways, to make matters worse, my computer just broke on me..yea I know..completely crazy!  It was a new computer too! A year and 2 months! It's hard keeping up with social media and the website on a kindle and phone, so I definitely need a computer.  Needless to say I'm now back in business so to say with a new computer! yay!

Yesterday I spend most of the day listing some new sets on ebay.  These sets are just items I have 1............

Just a quick note...after 15 years we have finally depleted our stock of silver platter plates, and trust me, that was alot of plates!!

We are finally changing over to a new style which some have been incorporated.  We will now be offering the scalloped edge rectangular plates and oval.  At least we are keeping up with the style!  lol  The plates are ceramic, handmade, however made in Thailand.

Also, if you are in the fan club..Sept gifts should be mailed out this week.

Love,
